“Luke, I am your father” is one of the most famous phrases from film, but many are discovering that it’s not what Darth Vader said. He actually says, “No, I am your father.” So, is this just a misremembered movie line or did some otherworldly shenanigans take place? This isn’t the only Star Wars–related Mandela effect instance…

This wouldn't have made sense in the context of the movie

Vader:Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father

Luke:He told me enough! He told me you killed him!

Vader: No, I am your father!

vs

Vader:Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father

Luke:He told me enough! He told me you killed him!

Vader: Luke, I am your father!

I belive that this was created by fans to be able to quote it and say it to each other without having to go back and forth.
